Our story
A story of compassion that grew from one person's conviction into a community of care.
The beginning
The move to advocate for mental health and family well-being started in 2023 by a Ghanaian youth named Perpetual Opata.
It began with a desire to assist persons living with mental health conditions on the streets of Winneba and Agona Swedru in the Central Region of Ghana.
It was initially started as “Peppy’s Safe Corner,” with an online presence and community focused on educating and advocating for mental health and well-being.
What started as a passion and desire to help society was developed, nurtured, and grew into a registered nonprofit organization in December 2025.
Since 2023, it has undertaken outreach programs and giveback sessions on mental health in communities.
“It began with a desire to assist persons living with mental health conditions on the streets — one conversation, one act of dignity at a time.”

Photography is illustrative. Documentation of the foundation’s own outreach will be published as it is verified and consent is obtained.
